It was just another day at the office for Trenton Golden Hawks goaltender Ryan Sanborn.
He only faced 14 shots but stopped them all in recording his sixth shutout in 14 games as the G-Hawks skunked the Cobourg Cougars 2-0.
Sanborn sports a 1.36 goals against average with a .948 save percentage.
Mason Landry and David Fournier scored second period goals. It was Fournier’s 36th of the season.
Trenton is off until Sunday when they travel to Stouffville.
In Wellington, the Toronto Junior Canadiens scored three times in the second period to beat the Dukes 5-2.
Jayden Levesque (14th) and Ethan Murray (18th) scored for Wellington who are right back in action tonight (Fri) to host the North York Rangers at 7:30.
Picton 3 Lakefield 1
In Provincial Junior C play in Picton, the Pirates edged the Lakefield Chiefs 3-1.
Cole Stevenson, Parker Mattis and Colby Leaver scored for Picton.
It was the front end of a home-at-home series. The Pirates return the visit on Tuesday.
