With the province heading to an election this February, questions are swirling about who is in and who is out locally.
The three ridings Quinte News follows are Northumberland-Peterborough South, Hastings-Lennox and Addington, and the Bay of Quinte riding.
In the fall there was a by-election, as Todd Smith stepped away from the MPP seat.
Tyler Allsopp of the Ontario PCs won by about 2,000 votes over the Liberal candidate Sean Kelly, who picked up more than 4,400 votes over the 2022 Liberal results.
Kelly says he and his family have made the decision he will not run next month, opening the party to a new candidate.
