It’s another messy winter day.
Northumberland County OPP say roads are becoming increasingly hazardous due to heavy snowfall and are advising that all non-essential travel be avoided.
Due to inclement weather conditions, forecasted snow and snow squall warnings, all transportation is cancelled for Thursday, January 23 for the STSCO jurisdiction including Northumberland County, Peterborough City and County and Clarington. Schools remain open.
Buses are operating in the Tri-Board area, however, there are some late buses due to the weather.
There is a snow squall warning for the Belleville, Quinte West and Northumberland region.
Other areas, including Prince Edward County are under a winter weather travel advisory.
Staff meteorologist Kevin Williams predicts 4-8 cm of snow today but more near the lake and in the County.
