Snow squalls expected today.
What: Lake effect snow with local accumulations of 7 to 14 cm by late this afternoon. Reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.
When: Now into this afternoon. Additional information: Lake effect snow squalls are expected to affect areas along the north shore of Lake Ontario. Snow squalls will shift south of the region later this afternoon. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
