Snow squalls possible overnight into Thursday.
What: Lake effect snow with local accumulations of 10 to 20 cm by Thursday afternoon. Reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.
When: Beginning overnight or Thursday morning and lasting into the afternoon.
Additional information: Lake effect snow squalls are expected to develop overnight and affect areas along the north shore of Lake Ontario. Snow squalls will shift south of the region through Thursday afternoon or evening. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
