The Trenton Golden Hawks beat the Markham Royals 5-3 on Friday night.
Cooper Matthews, Jamie Darlison, and Thomas Kuipers scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Royals opened scoring in the early minutes of the first period before the Golden Hawks came back late in the frame to tie the game 1-1. In the second period, the teams traded goals with both teams climbing to three and three. In the third, the Golden Hawks claimed two unanswered goals to take a lead and win the game.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Sunday against the Niagara Falls Canucks.
