Two Cobourg men are facing multiple charges following a break and enter.
On Friday, January 17, 2025 at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a business in the area of Division Street and Ewart Street.
Upon arrival, police engaged the fleeing suspects in a foot pursuit.
Both men were caught and placed under arrest.
Upon arrest, officers located knives in their possession.
As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old male and a 34-year-old man were both have been charged with:
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
- Mischief – Renders Property Useless
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
The 45-year-old male was held for a bail hearing, and the 34-year-old man was released with a future court
date.
