Le Tourneau, Diane….passed away at Trenton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Sunday January 12th, 2025 at the age of 82. Loving wife of the late Jerry Le Tourneau. Proud mother of Charlene Wilson (Ron), Trevor LeTourneau (Rhonda) and Chad Le Tourneau (Brandi). Beloved grandmother of Kailie (Kevin), Dustin (Liam), Wesley, Oliver, Charlie, Jamie and great grandmother of William, Warren and Charlotte. Diane was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Watkins (Walker) and her siblings Charles, Dona and Roy.
Diane was born on May 17, 1942 in Toronto, and from the moment she came into this world, she brought warmth, kindness, and joy to everyone she met. She was a devoted mother to her three children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, all of whom she adored with a fierce, unconditional love.
Throughout her life, Diane was a woman of boundless compassion, and endless generosity. She was the heart and soul of our family, always putting others first and finding joy in seeing her loved ones happy and well. Whether it was a listening ear offered, or a gentle hand to guide, she was always there when we needed her most.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she dedicated herself to creating a home filled with love, laughter, and comfort. She taught us the importance of kindness, patience, and resilience, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire us all.
A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Diane cheered passionately for her team and kept her home adorned with Leafs memorabilia. She read every Danielle Steel novel ever written, finding joy in stories of love and resilience. She was also an avid bowler and treasured the friendships she made through the sport. For many years, Diane also attended St. George’s Church, where her faith and community connections deepened
In her younger years, she spent her career working for Metropolitan Life Insurance. After having her own family she continued to care for, teach and love many day care children from her home.
Diane will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who lived with kindness, strength, and an unshakable devotion to her family. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, we know her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, She will be deeply missed.
We take comfort knowing that Diane is now at peace, with her late husband Jerry and with our Lord.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held in July where we will gather to honor her memory and the love she gave us all.
If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
