UPDATE: OPP report Old Highway 2 between RCAF Rd. and Whites Rd has reopened (10:07 p.m.)
A serious collision involving two vehicles on Old Highway 2, in the City of Quinte West, has left two people deceased.
Officers with the Quinte West OPP responded to the collision near Quinte View Drive, around 3:45 Tuesday afternoon.
One driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in that vehicle was pronounced deceased after being transported to hospital.
The second driver was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Old Hwy 2, between RCAF Road and Whites Road, remained closed for the investigation.
Members of the Technical Collision Investigation team and an OPP Collision Reconstructionist are assisting members of Quinte West OPP.
