A 42-year-old man has been charged after a stolen credit card was used to make purchases at two businesses in downtown Belleville.
Police were called to investigate the incident on Monday afternoon.
They obtained a description of the suspect and a few hours later officers on patrol made an arrest.
Police further determined the suspect was breaching a condition of his probation.
As a result, 42-year-old Nathan Jacobs of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and breach of probation.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in February.
