The City of Belleville will be hosting a Public Information Centre (PIC) to gather community input for the former Queen Mary Affordable Housing Project.
The city is seeking feedback on the affordable housing project and parkland preferences for the Octavia Street site, also known as the West Hill Green Space.
In October, City Council approved a recommendation directing staff to conduct a Public Information Session to gather feedback on an alternative development option that would see two acres of parkland preserved and 100 housing units, a drop of 50 units from the original proposal.
Feedback received will be presented to council with recommendations on next steps.
The PIC will be held Tuesday, February 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Prince Charles Public School (75 Ritchie Avenue).
Input can also be submitted through an online form. For more information, email planning@belleville.ca, or visit Belleville.ca/QMProject.
