Holiday spirit has been alive and well at the Children’s Safety Village this year.
The Village has received two generous donations over the last few weeks.
The Quinte Home Builders’ Association made a donation of just over $6,500 – money raised at its golf tournament in September.
The second gift came from the cast and crew of For the Love of a Song.
The November event, celebrating the music of Broadway, Disney and The Holiday Season, raised $6,000 for the Village.
On Friday, December 6, the Children’s Safety Village hosted its annual Christmas in the Village event.
Visitors enjoyed hot and cold treats, music from the Harry J. Clark Public School choir, and holiday wishes.
The Village thanks all volunteers and sponsors who helped to make the event a success including Switzer-Carty Transportation, Nesda Technologies Ltd, Wesleyan Community Church, Belleville Lions Club, Woo Doggy Chili; Free Flow Petroleum; Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings; Crime Stoppers, Belleville Police Services and Belleville Fire and Emergency Services.
