The Gillespie’s Tree Service U15 AAA Quinte Red Devils were on the road for a pair of contests this weekend looking to continue their climb towards the top of the East standings. Saturday saw a trip up the 400 for their 3rd and final regular season contest with the league leading Barrie Colts. After digging an early 2-0 hole, QRD got on the board with Jax Martin banging home a nice faceoff win by Lauchlan Whelan. Barrie would add another one and take a 3-1 lead into the 1st intermission. The 2nd period would see the teams trading a goal each way. The team’s powerplay stayed hot with Andrew Dewar capitalising on a turned over puck in the Barrie end to make the score 4-2 heading into the 3rd.
