Prince Edward County OPP say a traffic complaint has lead to impaired charges.
Officers responded to the complaint of a suspected impaired driver at around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The vehicle and driver was located by police and a screening tool was used.
The driver was taken to detachment for further testing.
29-year-old Rachel Chin of Belleville was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 8, 2025.
They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
