The Trenton Golden Hawks have replaced their 15-game winning streak with a 17-game unbeaten stretch.
For the first time in six weeks the G-Hawks did not win a game. However, they didn’t lose either settling on a 2-2 double overtime tie against the Caledon Admirals.
Devin Mauro and Mason Landry scored for Trenton as they bookend their winning run with tie games.
Trenton’s winning streak began on October 25 and helped them move into the number one ranking among 118 teams in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
Trenton is at home to the Stouffville Spirit tonight (Fri).
In Wellington, the Dukes host the Cobourg Cougars. Both games are at 7:30.
Pirates crown the Knights
It was a “no doubter” in Picton where the Pirates demolished the woeful North Kawartha Knights 10-1 to move into a share of first place with the Frankford Huskies in the Junior C East Tod Division.
Luc Amat had a hat trick. Liam Rice and Cole Stevenson had four points and Trevor Brooks added five assists.
