Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for a Cobourg man.
Anastacio Onate won $100,000 by matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 5 LOTTO MAX draw.
It is his first big win.
“I was at home when I scanned my ticket using the OLG app. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and wasn’t sure how much I had won, so I went to the store to have my ticket validated,” Anastacio recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “The clerk told me I’d won $100,000 and I jumped! I was stunned and began to shake. I still can’t believe it!”
With his winnings, Anastacio, a retiree, plans to purchase an apartment and travel to the Philippines.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pioneer/On the Run on Division Street in Cobourg.
