This holiday season Providence Care’s long-term care home, Providence Manor, invites you to join a heartwarming tradition.
The Resident Giving Tree is back, offering community members a meaningful way to spread cheer and make the holidays brighter for residents in need. “The Resident Giving Tree reminds us of the power of community,” says Jodi Doucette, Admissions Coordinator & Social Worker. “It’s heartwarming to see how staff, volunteers, visitors, and members of the public come together to ensure our residents feel cared for and celebrated during the holidays.”
The Resident Giving Tree, located in Providence Manor’s main lobby (275 Sydenham St, Kingston) features clear plastic ornaments containing wish list items for residents in need. Staff, visitors, volunteers, and the public are invited to select an ornament, fulfill the wish list, and return the unwrapped items to Providence Manor. Gifts will be wrapped and delivered on Christmas morning, creating moments of joy and connection for residents.
How to Participate:
- Visit Providence Manor’s main lobby and select an ornament from the Giving Tree or view the list online. If you wish to select an ornament online, email info@providencecare.ca with the ornament number. If you select an ornament in-person, inform Reception.
- Purchase the items on the wish list.
- Drop off the unwrapped gifts at Providence Manor by Dec. 20, 20204. Gifts can be dropped off at the desk in the main lobby daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please ensure you attach the ornament tag with the gift.
