Belleville police responded to 98 calls for service from 5 a.m. on December 2, 2024 to 5 a.m. on December 3, 2024.
COLLISION
Some students were late getting to class Monday after a collision involving their bus and a car.
The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Catherine and Coleman streets in Belleville’s west end.
No one was injured and the damage to the vehicles was minor.
The driver of the car, a 36 year-old Belleville man, was charged with careless driving.
THEFT
The Belleville Police Service is asking for the public’s help after a major theft.
Officers were called early Monday afternoon to a north end business and were told two people had left the store with about $4,000 worth of plumbing supplies.
The suspects left in a white Chevrolet cargo van with plates that did not belong to the vehicle.
