Gifts to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation made today, Tuesday, December 3, will have double the impact. Joe and Gertrud LaFerla of Cherry Valley have come forward to generously match donations to Back the Build up to a total of $25,000.
Giving Tuesday is an annual event celebrating a global movement for giving and volunteering. It is a time when businesses and individuals rally for their favourite causes.
“Like mostly everyone, we utilize our hospital and the exceptional medical services associated with it. It gives us great pleasure to see the new hospital construction underway. We are committed to investing in healthcare in our community and hope our matching gift motivates others and inspires gifts of all sizes,” said Joe.
“We want to contribute to a movement of thoughtful giving and unite our community with a singular cause – investing in the future of our hospital and keeping care close to home for generations to come,” said Gertrud.
