A Harwood man is facing charges following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
On Sunday, December 1, 2024 at approximately 1:00 a.m., police were dispatched to Dodge Street in the Town of Cobourg.
Police attended and located a male intoxicated by alcohol.
While assisting the male with locating a place to stay the night, he became aggressive and lunged at police.
The 69-year-old Harwood man was placed under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place.
During the arrest, the male assaulted an officer and has been further charged with assault with intent to resist arrest.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
