A 47-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges following an assault Saturday evening.
On Saturday, November 30, 2024 at approximately 8:35 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on King Street in the Town of Cobourg.
It was reported that a man entered the business and, without provocation, assaulted and threatened a staff member.
During the interaction, damage was caused to the building and personal property.
The victim attended the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Following an investigation, the 47-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with
-Assault, uttering threats
-Mischief – damage property
-Possession of a Schedule I Substance, and possession of a Schedule III Substance.
He was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released by the courts.
