A G2 licensed driver is facing charges after police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Friday night.
On Friday, November 29, 2024 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle collision on Danforth Road.
An 18-year-old youth was driving on Danforth Road when they lost control and struck a tree.
The vehicle sustained major damage.
The G2 driver blew an ‘alert’ on the Approved Screening Device.
The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the driver received a three-day licence suspension and was charged with
–Careless driving
-Driver fail to properly wear seatbelt
-Driver fail to surrender licence
-Novice Driver – blood alcohol content above zero
-Young driver blood alcohol content above zero
