Officers with the Central Hastings OPP have investigated 28 Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) cases so far in November.
In the most recent, officers responded on November 27, 2024, to a domestic violence incident in the Municipality of Centre Hastings. The investigation found numerous offences had transpired over the course of the relationship between the parties.
A 46-year-old man from Madoc was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering threats to cause bodily harm
- Mischief
The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
