A special event is planned in Belleville on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Three Oaks, which provides shelter and services to women who are victims of domestic violence, and their children, will hold a vigil Friday December 6 at The CORE Arts & Culture Centre on Pinnacle Street.
Three Oaks is inviting everyone to join the vigil in remembrance of the 14 women who were shot dead at Polytechnique Montreal in a violent act of misogyny and to call for action to end gender-based violence.
The vigil will begin at 11 a.m.
