CAMSafe continues growing
If you have a security camera or doorbell cam, consider partnering with police to fight crime through CAMSafe.ca.
Through the program, residents and businesses register contact details so officers can reach out directly and request video footage if something that happens in their neighbourhood.
There is no cost and registrants can delete your account at any time.
After starting in Belleville, the program has spread across the province – upwards of 40 detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police have implemented CAMSafe and more than a dozen municipal police departments are on board with the program in their communities.
