Prince Edward County Council has voted to award the tender for the construction of the new H.J. McFarland home building during Tuesday’s council meeting.
The tender for the new long-term care home was granted to Matheson Constructors Limited for $67,110,000, not including applicable taxes.
The new home will be 124,500 square feet in floor area, and have 160 resident beds.
Matheson Constructors had the lowest bid for the project.
