The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and the Hastings Prince Edward Learning Foundation are going to team up to improve sound quality in primary school classrooms.
Monday, the board agreed to work on a fundraising campaign with the foundation to raise money to buy sound field systems.
The systems involve wireless microphones, amplifiers, and speakers to allow students to clearly hear the teacher and other speakers no matter their location or the amount of background noise.
Research shows the sound field systems help students learn more effectively.
