A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on November 24, 2024, officers were called to a residence in the Water Street and London Street area after a verbal dispute escalated.
Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male victim suffering from stab wounds.
Officers began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and he was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
Through investigation it was learned that the incident had happened inside the residence. The Emergency Response Team was called in and a search warrant was executed Sunday evening.
As a result, a 28-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 25, 2024.
