A public information meeting for a development proposal at 565 Wesley Acres Road will take place at Highline Hall at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) on Wednesday, November 27 at 6 p.m.
The municipality has received an application to approve a Zoning By-law Amendment. The purpose of the application is to develop the subject lands for tourist commercial use, serving as the main camp for Campfire Circle.
The proposed development will include a central lodge, accommodations, and accessory recreational uses typical of a camp/resort, as well as specialized uses and design features to meet the needs of the users and staff.
Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting are asked to register by contacting Matthew Coffey, Planning Approvals, Coordinator, at mcoffey@pecounty.on.ca by noon on Monday, November 25, 2024. This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process.
At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.
The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
