The Timmins Majors was the first team to fall to the Devils with a 4-2 score. Next the Rangers stepped-up to make it 2-1. Moore (Koutroulides) scored again for a 3-1 lead, but the Rangers fought back with another goal, 3-2. With only 49 seconds left in the 3rd, Rangers took advantage of Quinte’s penalty, pulled their goalie for a 6 on 4 advantage, and it paid off in a 3-3 score. The Devils pulled out a win in an exciting OT hat trick-goal by Moore (Koutroulides). Bales was the winning tendy.

The Environmental 360 Solutions U16 AAA Red Devils
A Sunday win in Rama followed a home-ice split in Belleville as the Devils went 2-and-1 over the past week to keep fourth place in the OMHA East Conference. Quinte won at the FDC on Wednesday 9-2 over the Central Ontario Wolves then lost on the CAA pad 6-4 to the first-place York-Simcoe Express before winning a 3-1 decision on the road Sunday against the North Central Predators. With the victory in Rama over the Preds the Red Devils climbed to 17 points; just one shy of third-place Ajax-Pickering, three back of Barrie and five behind front-running York Simcoe.
Cole Rowat and Wyatt Whalen gave Quinte a 2-0 lead in the first period in North Central, with Whalen’s goal going down as the shorthanded winner. After the Predators put one past Ayden Mullen in the second period for their only goal, Mac Chisholm added some insurance for the Devils with an unassisted tally in the third. Gathering assists were Ryan Foley, Blake Munnings, Jake Gawley and Lauchlan Whelan.
During the game at the CAA on Saturday the Red Devils led 1-0 early and were up 3-1 after two periods but it wasn’t enough to hold off a late Express rally as York-Simcoe outscored Quinte 5-1 in the third period to steal the 6-4 win.
Ty Leavitt potted the Devils first two goals and Henry Fisher gave them the 3-1 lead as time wound down in the second period, but the third was all York-Simcoe. After the Express had tied it 3-3, Isaac Tracze regained a one-goal Quinte lead at 16:23 before the visitors scored three more goals over the final three minutes, finishing up the comeback with an empty-netter at 19:59 while Mullen sat on the bench in favour of an extra attacker. Cole Coughlan, Nate Rashotte, Pierson Clute, Seth Scaletta, Ryan Foley, Gawley and Chisholm supplied an assist apiece.
To open the week Wednesday at the FDC the Red Devils got two-goal performances from Leavitt and Munnings with three points coming from Chase Cybulskie, Chisholm and Leavitt. Chisholm and Cybulskie netted one each with Whalen, Foley and Rashotte rounding out the Devils scoring. Ryan Sherwin, Coughlan, Clute and Gawley had single assists while Lily Reid was in net for the winners in the 9-2 beating of Central Ontario.
Quinte set the pace early in this one jumping to a 4-0 lead by the ten-minute mark of the first period. They led 5-1 by the end of the set. The Devils continued the onslaught in the middle frame, stretching a 5-2 lead into a commanding 8-2 advantage, with their final two goals of the period coming only 22 seconds apart with just over two minutes left on the clock. They couldn’t hit double figures, however, scoring one lone goal in the third period.

Saturday had the young devils start the day with a Hockey Fights Cancer bottle drive which raised over two thousand dollars for the Dr. Douglas MacIntosh cancer clinic at BGH.

The troops rebounded nicely in the second scoring three straight power play goals to take the lead heading to the third. Scoring was done by Kai Mackie (Ethan Dowling), Jackson Simpson (Mackie), Tripp Plumley (Kolton Solmes, Reid Haley). The third period was fast paced with several chances at both ends. The Devils finished the game with two late empty net goals by Wade Robinson unassisted and Charlie Dwyer with an assist going to goalie Jordan Andrews. Jared Russell would earn the player of the game for a solid defensive game and Jordan Andrews would get the win in net.
Sunday the group headed to Clarington to play the North Shore Whitecaps. This game was penalty filled and saw a total of thirty four minutes called between the two teams.
This one would end in a 2-2 tie. Scoring for the Devils was Plumley from Simpson and Dowling from Wade Robison and Mackie.
