A woman doing a good deed in Belleville early Tuesday ended up having to call police.
City police report she was trying to donate clothing into a charity bin in the area of Coleman Street and Bridge Street West shortly before 1 a.m. when a man wearing a mask approached her.
The man wanted her to go to a secluded area with him but the female rode away on a bicycle.
The man briefly chased her.
After receiving a description police arrested a suspect near where the incident occurred. During the arrest an officer was assaulted suffering minor injuries.
Charged with criminal harassment, assault with intent to resist arrest and wearing a disguise was 44 year-old Sean Morrissey of no fixed address.
He has a December court date.
