Belleville swimming sensation Francis Brennan has accepted a scholarship to swim with Division 1 Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas next year.
The 16-year-old Brennan recently competed for Swim Canada where he won a bronze medal at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Canberra Australia.
2024 has been a big year for the member of the Belleville Beast Swim team after winning seven medals at the Summer Ontario Swimming Championships. That followed six gold medals at the Winter Championships.
With an eye on the 2028 Summer Olympics Brennan, a former Bayside Secondary School student, is now training at the Ontario Swim Academy and Swimming Canada’s High Performance Centre in Toronto.
