The Trenton Golden Hawks shut out the King Rebellion 5-0 on Friday night.
Joey Brehmer, Cooper Matthews, David Fournier, and Jacob Xu scored for the Golden Hawks. Ryan Sanborn played a perfect game in net, with 16 saves.
The Golden Hawks took off to an explosive first period start with three unanswered goals, followed by an additional goal in the second and third periods. With the Rebellion unable to get past the Golden Hawks’ goaltender, the Golden Hawks took the win.
The Golden Hawks play again on Sunday, hosting the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.
