The Belleville Police Service has joined forces with the Port Hope Police Service for a cozy initiative during this holiday season.
Tammies Jammies provides children in need with new pajamas during the holiday season.
The Belleville Police Service invites the community to donate new pajamas of all sizes at the collection box now set up in their lobby at 459 Sidney Street.
They will be distributed by The Children’s Foundation.
Tammies Jammies was originally launched by the Port Hope Police Service in 2017, inspired by a family tradition of receiving a new pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve, ensuring every child wakes up on Christmas morning with a gift that brings both physical and emotional warmth.
“This initiative represents the true spirit of the season—coming together as a community to support one another,” said Deputy Chief Sheri Meeks. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Port Hope Police Service and help bring smiles and comfort to children in care during the holidays.”
Donations will be accepted until December 20.
