Eight was more than enough for Prince Edward County junior hockey teams Thursday night.
The Wellington Dukes extended their OJHL winning streak to five with an 8-5 win over Haliburton Huskies in Minden.
Ethan Murray (8), Cory Jewitt (12) and Ryan Schaap (11) scored twice for Wellington as they outshot the second place Huskies 41-27.
Quinn McNamara (3rd) and Zach Mascard (7th) rounded out the scoring for Wellington.
The Dukes are home to Buffalo Friday at 7:30.
In Trenton tonight (Fri) the Golden Hawks host the King Rebellion at 7:30.
Pirates knock off Knights
Eight was also the magic number in Picton as the Junior C Pirates crowned the North Kawartha Knights 8-1.
Trevor Brooks led the way with a hat trick. Aiden Trevorton added two goals and two assists while Colby Leaver had a pair as well.
