Friday is the night Jane Forrester Park in Belleville officially lights up for the holiday season.
November 15 is the kick-off to the city’s annual Festival of Lights.
Festivities begin at 5:30.
There will be live music, food vendors, a drone light show and of course, special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The light displays can be seen nightly until January 6.
This year’s display features new installations including a polar bear bench, and extended lights and snowflakes on the Bayshore Trail to the Shirley Langer Trail.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will make further appearances at the display every Friday night from Nov. 29 to Dec. 20, collecting letters and Christmas wishes before the big day.
