Prince Edward County is applying for a grant from the Connecting Links program to fund rehabilitation of a kilometre-long section of Bloomfield Main Street.
During Tuesday’s council meeting, council members voted to seek funding from the Ministry of Transportation’s Connecting Links program.
The proposed rehabilitation project involves removing and replacing existing pavement, repairing and replacing curbs, and partial sidewalk replacement.
The total cost of the program will be $2,315,000. If the application is successful, the grant would cover 90%, leaving the municipality to cover the remaining 10% of the cost.
