There wasn’t a lot of change in the local real estate market in October from September, however, the president of the Central Lakes Association of Realtors Vicki Sweeney says an interest rate cut last month is expected to bring more buyers into the market in the coming months.
In Belleville, 51 single-family homes were sold last month, down from 55 in September. The average price was $569,000, up from $547,000.
In Quinte West, 37 homes were sold in October, down from 43 the month before. The average price was $537,000, down from $588,000.
In Prince Edward County, 19 single-family dwellings were sold, down from 23.
The average price was $795,000, down from $839,000 in September.
And 18 house were sold in Brighton in October, up from 16 at an average price of $606,000, down from $651,000 the month before.
