It is with great sadness that the family of Retired Constable Donald Thomas Bruce announce his passing on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Belleville General Hospital in his 74th year. Don was a 40-year veteran of the Belleville Police Service, assisting in many different departments throughout his career.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Bonnie Bruce; their daughter Alison Bruce (Jason Manley), their son Scott Bruce (Paige Wolfreys); his five wonderful grandchildren Alexis, Jack, Ryder, Gatlin and Nick; his sister Barbara (Al Hamilton) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Kenneth Bruce (Judy Bruce). Cremation is to follow with no services.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who helped take care of Don during his stay. Anyone wishing to make donations may consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or The Canadian National Institution for the Blind.
