The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has welcomed a new trustee.
Peter Penlington of Bancroft fills a vacancy on the board and will serve as a trustee for the remainder of the four-year term that began in November 2022.
He represents Tweed, Marmora/Lake, Hastings Highlands, Stirling-Rawdon, Bancroft, Centre Hastings, Highlands East, Faraday, Madoc, Wollaston, Limerick, Tudor Cashel, Carlow/Mayo and South Algonquin.
Penlington was officially sworn in at a special board meeting on Monday.
A seat became vacant when Dr. Peter McEnery passed away in September.
Dr. McEnery had served on the Board of Trustees for four years.
