It was a nice start to his college hockey career for Belleville native Trevor Hoskin.
The 20-year-old Hoskin, who was the Most Valuable Player in the OJHL last season has been named Rookie of the Month in the NCAA’S Atlantic Hockey Division.
Hoskin is in his first year with the Niagara University Purple Eagles.
In seven games in October he scored three goals and six assists.
On the season Hoskin has four goals and 11 points in nine games.
Hoskin was a fourth-round pick of the Calgary Flames in June.
