Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will be discussing a plan that could lead to more housing
in certain areas of the city at its meeting Monday.
A public meeting will be held for what’s being called the Residential Intensification Project.
The project involves amending the Official Plan and zoning by-laws to allow up to four housing units on a single fully-serviced residential lot.
Both the provincial and federal governments have made allowing four units on a residential lot mandatory for municipalities to receive financial support for housing.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 Monday afternoon at City Hall and is livestreamed on the city’s Youtube channel.
