The Trenton Golden Hawks moved back to within a point of first place in the OJHL’s Eastern Conference following a back and forth 6-4 win over the visiting Aurora Tigers.
Matthew Souliere scored his 16th of the season. David Fournier added his 13th. Joey Brehmer (6th), Thomas Kuipers (6th), Kyloe Ellis (2nd) and Corbin Roach (EN-7th) rounded out the scoring for Trenton.
The Golden Hawks improve to 14-3-1 for 29 points. They trail the first place Haliburton Huskies by one point.
The G-Hawks are back home Friday night against Stouffville.
Tonight (Wednesday) the Wellington Dukes host the Markham Royals at Lehigh Arena at 7:30.
In Junior C hockey play, the Frankford Huskies fell 4-2 to the Lakefield Chiefs.
Joey Coates scored his 17th of the season with an assist.
Avery Wease added his 13th for Frankford.
