Prince Edward County OPP say a single vehicle collision on County Road 11 Monday morning was fatal.
Police, Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue and Hastings Quinte Paramedics located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames when they responded to the collision on County Road 11 just after 8 a.m.
The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The investigation continues with the assistance of members of the Technical Collision Investigation Team and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
County Road 11 between between County Road 18 and Kleinsteuber Park Road was closed for several hours but reopened early Monday afternoon.
