Quinte’s safest Halloween experience is even bigger and better this year!
Children’s Safety Village Belleville is opening its gates for local children to enjoy a fun and safe
Halloween with Halloween at the Village. Children of all ages are welcome to come frick and freat on
the streets of our miniature village without having to worry about traffic or other challenges.
Local police, firefighters, paramedics and other friends and supporters of the village will be handing out
treats to all the ghosts, goblins and other costumed visitors.
This year, Giant Tiger on Millenium Parkway and Giant Tiger on Bridge Street West are teaming up as
our premier candy aponsor and ensuring there are plenty of treats for all our guests.
As well, Elexicon Energy is supplying light-up maracas that not only make noise but flash in several
different colours, lighting up the night and making it easy for parents to keep track of their trick or
treaters.
And The Children’s Foundation will be on hand with Halloween-themed games so youngsters can play a
little and burn off some of that candy and treats.
Finally, Allegra Printing has donated five tickets to the NHL Alumni vs. Local Law Enforcement Hockey
Game at CAA Arena on Nov 3. All visitors can enter a ballot to win, free of charge. Winners will be drawn
Nov. 1.
This year’s event on Thursday Oct. 31 opens from 4-5 p.m. for all those with sensory sensitivities and
accessibility issues. Then the gates open to everyone from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The village is located at 129 South John Street. Parking is available behind the old police station on
Dundas Street (entrance off George Street) with access to the village from the lot.
