The redevelopment of the former Queen Mary School property in west end Belleville will be discussed by Belleville council Monday.
Following a presentation to council by Friends of West Hill Green Space in August, staff redesigned the proposed housing project by adding a second option for council’s consideration.
The first option is the original proposal which would feature 150 affordable housing units leaving one acre of property as parkland.
The new and second option would feature 100 residential units and almost three acres of parkland.
In both options a six-storey height limit for buildings is in place.
Staff is recommending option two. Council meets at 4:30 at City Hall.
