More than 100 people attended last night’s second annual Royal LePage Night Light Walk through downtown Belleville.
Royal LePage’s Nancy Stephenson says Belleville is hosting one of nine events across Canada in support of domestic violence victims.
The local walk is raising money for Three Oaks Foundation.
“We’re hoping to raise awareness and money to help them with their transitional housing. They are supporting women in the area who are victims of domestic violence. So it’s a pretty big problem we have so we are raising money to give them the funds they need to help all the women that they can.”
Stephenson says donations are still coming in but at last count about $18,000 had been raised.
