There’s going to be a lot of action in the sky and in the water near the southern part of Prince Edward County this week.
The Department of National Defence will hold a major disaster response exercise in the area of Point Petre Wednesday and Thursday.
The exercise will involve a Hercules plane and a Griffon helicopter from 8 Wing Trenton’s 424 Search and Rescue Squadron as well as civilian aircraft and the United States Coast Guard.
The exercise aims to practise various agencies working together during an emergency.
Defence officials say that some aircraft may seem to be flying at lower altitudes than normal during the exercise but will be following all rules and regulations while doing so.
