Three people have been charged in a month-long investigation that resulted in the Kingston Police Force’s largest seizure of fentanyl to date.
Police say the accused were trafficking drugs, operating within two apartment units in the Queen Mary Road and Bath Road area.
Search warrants resulted in the seizure of more than 1.3 kilograms of fentanyl with a street value of $198,000.
Drug-related paraphernalia and large quantities of Canadian currency were also seized.
A 62-year-old male, along with a 50-year-old male and a 52-year-old female all from Kingston, are each charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
Kingston police say the seizure, along with other recent fentanyl investigations, represents a significant disruption to local drug trafficking networks.
