Those in the area of Canadian Forces Detachment (CFD) Mountain View may notice an increase in air traffic this week.
The Canadian Armed Forces says civilian workers are conducting Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operations to inspect power lines within the CFD Mountain View airspace.
The operations will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11.
The RPA operations will occur in zones 4 – 6.
8 Wing Trenton reminds the public that civilian drones/Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) shall not be flown on or near 8 Wing / CFD Mountain View in accordance with Transport Canada and Department of National Defence safety and security regulations.
