There was a water rescue Monday morning near Carrying Place.
At around 7:30 a.m. OPP, Prince Edward County firefighters, and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services responded to the waterfront in the area of Fort Kente and Parkview Roads after reports a male was seen 200 feet out in Wellers Bay and acting strangely.
Although the fire department’s marine unit was dispatched the male was taken to shore safely in a private boat and was attended to by paramedics.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital.
